Hardest chemistry class in college?

Hi all, I'm thinking about a major in chemistry or maybe chemical engineering. I'm aware that the courses are tough, but does anyone know what's considered the most difficult chemistry class in college? It would be good to know what I might be up against.

The difficulty of a course can be dependent on numerous factors including your strengths and weaknesses, the professor teaching the course, and the studying habits you employ. However, typically, several chemistry courses seem to be consistently flagged as challenging by many students across various universities.

Physical Chemistry often tops the chart. This course is a mix of chemistry with quantum physics and calculus, involving mathematical derivations and computations. The abstract nature of the quantum theory and advanced mathematics involved can make it quite challenging for students who are stronger in hands-on, experimental lab work as compared to abstract theories.

Organic Chemistry tends to be another rigorous class, with its need to memorize and apply a vast array of reactions and mechanisms. This class emphasizes understanding the properties and reactions of organic compounds, and the volume of information can be overwhelming.

Inorganic Chemistry also often proves challenging, largely due to its breadth. It can range from materials chemistry to complex transition metal chemistry, and requires understanding the applications of principles to a multitude of different elements.

Again, remember the difficulty of a course can vary greatly depending on the individual. You might find these courses to be nothing but an exciting challenge!
