Hardest Degrees to Pursue at Harvard University?

Hey guys, your input needed here! I'm planning on applying to Harvard, but I want to understand more about the various degree programs on offer. Which among them are considered the most difficult?

While every major at Harvard offers unique challenges, some are traditionally regarded as particularly rigorous due to their intensive coursework and high expectations. These might include:

1. Physics: Known for being a challenging major in any university, at Harvard the program goes even more in-depth. There's a strong emphasis on fundamental laws and substantial math and computational work, which can be quite rigorous.

2. Organic Chemistry (a track within the Chemistry major): The courses in this track often require a significant amount of time in labs working with complex chemical reactions, along with rigorous lecture content and problem sets.

3. Mathematics: Harvard's math program is considered one of the most challenging in the world, especially its honors track called Math 55, which is one of the toughest math classes you could take as a Freshman.

4. Economics: One of the most popular majors at Harvard, Economics is known for having challenging coursework that requires analytical thinking and mathematical aptitude.

5. Government: While not inherently hard in terms of content, the Government major is a time-intensive course of study that often requires students to read large amounts of dense, theoretical material each week.

6. Computer Science: The Computer Science major pushes students to master complex concepts and programming languages. It also often involves time-consuming project work.

Remember these are general perceptions and actual difficulty can vary greatly depending on your strengths and interests. Ultimately, the "hardest" subject is subjective and depends on the individual student's skills and passion. It's important to choose a major that aligns with your strengths and future career aspirations.
