What are some of the toughest undergraduate classes around?

So, I've been hearing about some brutal college classes and got curious. Does anyone know what some of the most challenging undergraduate classes are? It can be from any department. Just looking for some cool info.

Sure, I've got a few notoriously challenging undergraduate courses in mind! However, keep in mind, these are based off anecdotes and reviews. Difficulty can always vary depending on your strengths, learning style, professor, university, etc.

- Organic Chemistry: Often referred to as the "pre-med weed-out course," Organic Chemistry has a reputation for being a particularly challenging chemistry course. The class focuses heavily on memorization and understanding complex chemical reactions.

- Quantum Mechanics: This is usually a course taken by physics majors and it's notorious for being conceptually difficult and mathematically complex. Students study concepts like wave-particle duality, which are different from the Newtonian physics they would've learned in physics classes prior.

- Anatomy and Physiology: This course often has an extensive memorization requirement due to the sheer volume of body parts, organ systems, structures, and so on. In addition, there can be extensive lab work which often includes dissecting animal organs or even a major exam on human cadavers in some universities.

- Principles of Economics: This class introduces many of the foundational concepts of economics. The difficulty springs from understanding and applying complex theories, many of which may not be intuitive.

- Constitutional Law: This one is typically for political science or pre-law students. The complexity in this class lies in the interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, Supreme Court cases, and legal doctrines.

- Other courses like Thermodynamics, Theory of Computation, and Advanced Calculus also have reputations for being challenging.

Remember, these are general examples and each course's difficulty can be influenced by many factors such as class size, professor's teaching style, the university's resources and support, and the student's preparation and learning style. And what one student finds challenging, another may find intriguing or enjoyable. It's all down to individual perspective and approach!
