Hardest public universities in Texas to get admission into?

Howdy! I'm a Texan and would love to remain in my home state for college. So, which public colleges in Texas are known to have the most rigorous admission processes? I'm not scared of a challenge and want to aim high.

Hello there! It's fabulous to see such confidence and readiness to take on a challenge. In terms of public universities in Texas with the most rigorous admission processes, the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) definitely holds a reputation for being highly selective and is considered to be the hardest to get into.

Another public university with demanding admission standards is Texas A&M University at College Station. While it's slightly less selective than UT Austin, Texas A&M still has a competitive admissions process.

Of course, meeting or exceeding these average grades and test scores doesn't guarantee admission since these schools also consider factors like your high school coursework, extracurricular activities, and essays. You should aim to stand out with high-impact extracurriculars and compelling application materials. Best of luck with your applications!
