Hardest classes at Oakland University?

Hi! I'm a high school junior possibly heading to Oakland University. What classes should I prepare for the most? I've heard some can be quite challenging. Can anyone give me some insight, please?

While it can somewhat vary depending on a student's major and individual strengths, there are a few courses at Oakland University that are frequently mentioned as particularly challenging:

1. Organic Chemistry I & II (CHM 2340 & CHM 2350) - A common stumbling block at many colleges, not just Oakland. This series is notoriously tough due to the high level of detail and the conceptual difficulty. Expect to dedicate a significant amount of study time to these courses.

2. Physics I & II (PHY 1010 & 1020) - For those not inclined towards the physical sciences, these calculus-based physics classes can be a major hurdle. Clear thinking and good mathematical skills are needed to excel.

3. Calculus Series (MTH 1554 and 1555) - These classes can be challenging because they introduce complex, abstract concepts. However, they're fundamental to many fields of study, so it's important to get a good grasp of the material.

4. Financial Accounting (ACC 2000 & 2000H) – A crucial course for business students that deals with complex financial accounting concepts and requires a lot of practice with problem-solving.

5. Human Anatomy & Physiology (BIO 2100 & 2600) – These courses can be tough for students due to the sheer volume of information needed to be memorized and understood.

Remember that even though these courses are challenging, many students successfully navigate them by utilizing resources like professors' office hours, study groups, and academic support centers. Through diligent studying and active engagement, you can conquer any course. Good luck with your college journey!
