Colleges in Idaho?

Hey, all. I'm an Idaho native and I want to stay close to home for college. Could anyone suggest good colleges in Idaho? If possible, I'd like to work on a Biology major. Thanks!

Absolutely! There are several well-regarded colleges in Idaho that you might want to consider for your undergraduate degree in Biology.

1. Boise State University: It’s the largest university in Idaho and well known for its programs in the health sciences. Their Bachelor's in Biology is very comprehensive and you'll have a chance to engage in some interesting research projects due to their strong focus on research.

2. University of Idaho: This university has one of the oldest and most respected Biology programs in the state. Their College of Science offers both a general Biology major and several more specialized options.

3. Idaho State University: Located in Pocatello, this university is primarily known for its healthcare and medical programs. As a Biology major, you'll have lots of relevant pre-professional options and can take advantage of their connections with the health industry.

4. College of Idaho: It's a smaller liberal arts college with a solid reputation in the sciences. They offer a comprehensive and rigorous Biology program, but the small size means you'll get a lot of personalized attention and mentorship.

Each of these schools has its own unique strengths, so you'll want to consider other factors important to your college experience, like campus culture, cost, extracurricular opportunities, and housing options. It's also always a good idea to try and take a visit, either virtually or in-person, to help you determine the right fit. Combined with your personal preferences and priorities, any of these colleges could be a great choice for you to pursue your interest in Biology.
