What makes Wellesley College unique?

Hey everyone, I've been looking into Wellesley College, and I'm curious about what aspects make it stand out from other liberal arts colleges. Is it known for specific programs or a particular campus culture? Any alums or current students who can shed some light on this?

Hi there! Although I'm not an alum, my niece graduated from Wellesley a couple of years ago, and she had such a positive experience. What really stands out about Wellesley is its powerful alumnae network. Wellesley women are everywhere, actively supporting current students and recent grads. It's a deeply rooted culture of mentorship and support. The school also has a strong focus on women's leadership – after all, it's one of the Seven Sisters colleges. With an alumnae list including Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright, leadership and empowerment are in the school's DNA.

Another aspect my niece loved was the beautiful campus with the lake, which provides a calm and inspiring environment. Not to forget, they have a cross-registration program with MIT, offering an incredible opportunity to take courses there. Lastly, the class sizes are small, meaning there's a lot of personal attention and the chance to build close relationships with professors. The combination of these academic opportunities and the supportive network really sets Wellesley apart!
