What's the real deal with Dean College campus life?

Hey community, I'm curious about Dean College. I've read a lot about their programs and academics, but not too much about their campus life. Can any current or former students share what it was like? Clubs, weekend activities, dorming... everything goes!

Hello! No matter where you go, the feel of campus life is greatly influenced by how you choose to engage with it. When it comes to Dean College, there are a few points worth noting.

Starting with clubs and activities, Dean College has a wide range of organizations encompassing academic interests, leadership, performing arts, recreation, service, and more. You're bound to find something that aligns with your interests, and if not, you also have the option to start your own club!

As far as dorming is concerned, living on-campus is an integral part of the Dean experience. It provides plentiful opportunities to make friends and form deep connections. You'll find a mix of first-year, upperclass, and suite-style residence halls. Each residence hall has its own unique vibe, but all encourage a sense of community among the residents, and Resident Assistants provide support and host various programs throughout the year.

Regarding weekend activities, Dean College has an office called "Campus Life" that takes charge of planning events. They frequently organize entertainment events, workshops, games, and other social gatherings. There's also "Dean After Dark," a series of late-night activities that could range from open mics to dance parties or movie nights. All these make for a vibrant and active campus.

Lastly, don't forget about the town of Franklin itself. Franklin is known for its safe, suburban feel. Nearby, you'll find places to eat, shop, and hang out. Plus, being in close proximity to Boston and Providence, the potential for exploration is huge.

One piece of advice would be to get involved as much as you can. It helps you make friends, build resume-worthy skills, and generally enriches your college life experience.
