Thoughts on Fairfield University?

Anyone have any personal reviews or experiences from Fairfield University? It's on my shortlist of colleges to apply this fall and I'm digging for insider info or personal experiences.

Fairfield University is a small, private Jesuit university located in Connecticut. It's well-regarded for its commitment to personalized education due to its small class sizes and a low student to faculty ratio. This means you often have more direct access to your professors and can participate more actively in class, which a lot of students like.

In terms of its academics, Fairfield has quite a few strong programs, notable therein are their nursing and business programs. If you're into the sciences, they also have a solid pre-med track. I've heard quite a bit of positive feedback from some students about the thoroughness in these specific programs.

The campus is exceptionally beautiful, located near the beach and not too far away from New York City. Its location gives students a chance to enjoy both a tranquil campus life and the vibrancy of the city. Its size also fosters a tight-knit community - you'll likely find yourself recognizing many faces as you walk to class or the dining hall.

Extracurricular life is quite vibrant with a lot of student-run clubs and organizations to join, and there's a good balance of community service opportunities as well, reflecting its Jesuit values. Similarly, the emphasis on ethics and social justice is quite present in their curriculum, resonating with many students who seek to combine their academic pursuits with meaningful social impact.

But remember, every student's experiences are unique, and what resonates with one person might not align with someone else. So take into account your own preferences regarding size, location, and community when considering Fairfield University. Sit in on a class if you can - nothing replaces that firsthand experience!
