Does anybody know when the breaks are scheduled during the PSAT? I’m trying to figure out how to pace myself and when I'll get a chance to relax and regroup.
Hello there! I'm glad you're planning ahead for the PSAT — it's a great way to feel more prepared. From my experience working with students, the PSAT usually includes a couple of short breaks. Typically, there is one break after the first two sections of the test. This break is around 5 minutes long. If you are taking the PSAT/NMSQT, there's usually an additional 5-minute break later on. Use this time to have a snack, gather your thoughts, and stretch a bit if you need to. However, exact timings can vary, so I'd recommend checking with your test coordinator for the specific schedule at your testing location. Remember to bring a small snack and water bottle for those breaks, and most importantly, try not to stress too much about the clock. Being well-rested and having a good breakfast on test day can also do wonders for your focus and pacing. Good luck!
