Hardest Courses at Harvard University?

Hey guys, I've been wondering about the course loads at Harvard. Like, I've heard some stories but does anyone really know what the hardest courses at Harvard University are? Any particular subjects or specific courses that stand out?

Harvard is renowned for its rigorous academic standards, so a fair number of courses could be considered "hard" due to their in-depth demands and high expectations. However, the difficulty level can depend significantly on your personal strengths, major, and interests.

That being said, several courses at Harvard are notorious for their challenging curriculum. For instance, "Ec 10," otherwise known as Economics 10, has a reputation for being particularly tough. It's a year-long introductory course to economics, which involves mathematical modeling and close analysis of economic systems.

"Life Sciences 1b (LS1b)" is another reputedly difficult course. It's a foundational course for Biology and Pre-med students that focuses on genetics, genomics, and evolution, combining both lab work and theory.

Courses in the Mathematics department, especially the upper-level ones, are also known for their complexity and abstraction. "Math 55a and 55b" (Honors Abstract Algebra and Honors Real and Complex Analysis) are considered extremely challenging even for students who excelled in maths earlier.

In the computer science department, "CS 50: Introduction to Computer Science I" stands out for its difficulty, particularly for those without previous coding experience.

Do note that while these courses are rigorous, many students also find them remarkably rewarding due to the depth of knowledge and skills developed. Remember, what one person might find complex, another might excel at, so much depends on your personal skills, background, and commitment. Happy studying!
