Hey guys, I'm stressing out a little bit over my standardized test prep and I could really use your input. I'm taking the ACT soon, and I've been scoring around a 35 on my practice tests. I know 36 is the highest you can get, but is a 35 really considered that good? Thanks in advance!
Absolutely, a 35 on the ACT is an exceptional score! To give you a bit of context, the ACT is scored on a scale of 1 to 36, and a 35 is nearly perfect. Not only is it well above the national average, which generally hovers around 21, but it also places you in the 99th percentile of all test-takers. This means you've scored higher than 99% of everyone else who took the test.
A score of 35 makes you a very competitive applicant at virtually all colleges and universities, including the most selective schools. However, keep in mind that while a great ACT score can open doors, it's only one piece of your overall college application. Admissions committees also consider your grades, course rigor, essays, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular activities, to name a few things.
That being said, a 35 on the ACT is certainly something to be proud of. It's a testament to your hard work and preparation. Keep up the good work and good luck with your college applications!
