What should I expect from life at Central Michigan University?

I'm considering Central Michigan University as one of my options for college. I'd love to know more about the campus life, student community and events, and sports if anyone here goes there. Thanks in advance for your help!

Central Michigan University, colloquially known as CMU, is a lively and active campus, and there are plenty of opportunities to engage with your fellow students and become a part of the campus community. It's based in Mount Pleasant, which has a small-town vibe with all the necessary amenities for student life, while also being only a short drive from larger cities like Grand Rapids and Lansing.

The student community at CMU is vibrant, and with over 400 student-run clubs and organizations, there's sure to be something that aligns with your interests or hobbies. This can range from academic clubs focused on particular fields of study to hobbyist groups, community service organizations, club sports, and more.

A unique aspect of life at CMU is the residential college system. There are several residential colleges, each with a particular academic or thematic focus.
