Inquiring about military uniforms

Hey guys, I've seen images of different military uniforms, and noticed that some branches wear brown. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know which branch of the military traditionally wore brown uniforms?

The branch of the U.S. military that is most associated with brown uniforms is the U.S. Army. These uniforms, often referred to as "Brown Shoe Army" outfits, were historically worn in World War II, the Korean War, and in the years following those conflicts.

In recent years, the U.S. Army has transitioned to the Army Green Service Uniform, but brown uniforms still hold a significant place in Army history. In addition, the U.S. Marine Corps uniforms also incorporate some brown elements.

It's also interesting to note that the uniform color can vary depending on the operations and the environments. For instance, in desert environments, a more tawny or sandy shade might be utilized for better camouflage. But traditionally, when it comes to brown service dress uniforms, it's the U.S. Army that stands out.
