Military Branch for Bodybuilding?

Hey, I'm a high school junior and I love bodybuilding. I was wondering which military branch focuses the most on physical fitness and bodybuilding?

While each branch of the U.S. military places an emphasis on physical readiness and fitness, none specifically focus on "bodybuilding" in the traditional sense. However, if you're interested in a branch that stresses physical prowess, you might want to consider the Marine Corps or the Army.

The Marine Corps is often considered to have the most demanding physical fitness requirements. Their Physical Fitness Test (PFT) has three elements: pull-ups or push-ups, sit-ups or planks, and a three-mile run. The Combat Fitness Test (CFT) involves a sprint, lifting, and carrying exercises, and a maneuver-under-fire drill.

The Army, like all branches of the military, also values physical fitness. Their Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) involves a two-mile run, leg tucks, a deadlift, a standing power throw (throwing a medicine ball), hand-release push-ups, and a sprint-drag-carry exercise.

Both of these branches encourage strength conditioning and aerobic endurance, which aligns with bodybuilding goals.

Remember, though, that the military's main focus is readiness for mission demands, rather than aesthetic goals associated with bodybuilding. If you decide to join, your own personal fitness activities, such as bodybuilding, would likely take place outside of the required physical training.
