Easiest Branch to Join in US Military?

I've lately been mulling over my post-high school plans, and joining the military is one. Though, I'm not exactly into the whole intense physical aspect. Is there any particular branch in the US military that's known to be the 'easiest' in terms of physical demands? I'd appreciate any input—just trying to gather as much information as I can!

All branches of the U.S. military have physical and mental requirements, though the levels of difficulty can vary.

It's important to remember that every branch of the military has its unique purpose, missions, and traditions. Therefore, what might appear "easiest" in terms of physical requirements may not necessarily be the best fit for you in terms of career opportunities, and vice versa.

That said, the Air Force often comes up as the branch with somewhat less demanding physical fitness requirements. The physical fitness test in the Air Force includes a 1.5-mile run, push-ups, and sit-ups. Compared to other branches, this is known to be slightly less rigorous.

However, the U.S. Space Force, the newest branch of the military, primarily focuses on operations in space and cyberspace, so it might not be as physically intensive as others. But, as it's a relatively new arm of the military, information on its recruiting process and physical requirements is still being established.

But remember, physical demands shouldn't be the only factor you consider. Be sure to look into the various duties, job opportunities, and lifestyle associated with each branch. That will help you find the right fit for where you could serve best and feel most satisfied. It's also worth mentioning that each branch has auxiliary or support roles that may not be as physically demanding.

If you are definitely interested in joining the military but worried about the physical requirements, it might be useful to have a conversation with recruiters from various branches, as they can provide nuanced insights to help inform your decision. This will also provide you an opportunity to learn about the expectations and training that go into different roles within each branch.
