Anyone know the current tuition for Parsons?

Hi all, just started my college search. I'm really interested in Parsons but I'm sure as you all know, getting a clear figure for tuition can be a bit tricky. Can anyone help me out with the expected cost per year (out-of-state)? Also, what kind of financial aid or scholarships could be available?

Sure, I'd be happy to help! For the 2024-2025 academic school year, the full-time tuition for Parsons School of Design is approximately around $50,000 for both in-state and out-of-state students. Keep in mind that comprehensive tuition fees may include other expenses such as a general university fee, technology fee, and health service fee, which could add around $1,000 to $2,000 to the overall cost.

Additionally, it's important to take into account the cost of room, board, and personal expenses if you're planning to live on campus. This can run anywhere from $15,000-$20,000 per academic year. Books and supplies will cost you around another $1,700. So, when factoring everything in, you can expect around $70,000-$75,000 per year as out-of-state student.

In terms of financial aid, Parsons offers both need-based and merit-based aid. All prospective first-year and transfer students applying for admission are automatically considered for merit scholarships; a separate application isn't required. These scholarships are awarded based on your academic and artistic achievements.

For need-based aid, you'd need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and for international students, the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA). This will help determine your eligibility for aid from federal, state, and institutional sources.

The school does boast a relatively high percentage of students receiving some form of financial aid, so don't let the sticker price discourage you - often the net price, after financial aid, can be significantly lower.
