Hey pals! I'm seriously considering Wagner College in Staten Island, NY as one of my choices. Can any of you share your experiences if you've attended or know someone who did? I'm particularly interested in campus life and academic rigor.

Hello! It sounds like you're doing your research and thinking ahead about your college choices. I can certainly provide some information on Wagner College, both in regard to campus life and academic rigor.

Starting with campus life, Wagner has a relatively small campus environment with under 2,500 students. Its urban setting on Staten Island allows students to experience life in a metropolitan area, but it's also far enough away from the heart of NYC to give the campus a sense of community. There are over 60 student-run clubs and organizations, so you'll likely be able to find a group that piques your interest.

In terms of academics, Wagner is known for its "learning by doing" philosophy. The college has a Wagner plan that combines classroom learning with real-world experience, so expect lots of opportunities for internships and community service right from your first year. The small class size with a student-faculty ratio of 14:1 also ensures that you get personal attention from your professors.

It's always advised, of course, to try to visit the campus if you haven't already. This will give you a feel for the environment, plus you can perhaps talk to current students and faculty to get their personal experiences as well.

Finally, while it's good to hear others' experiences, don't forget that your college experience will be uniquely yours. What fits one person may not fit another. It all depends on how you take advantage of the opportunities offered and how you engage with the community. Good luck with your decision-making process!
