Airborne soldiers across military branches?

Stressed AF about life after high school here. Always been a bit of an adrenaline junkie so the idea of serving as an airborne soldier sounds exciting. Which branch typically has the most airborne soldiers?

The U.S. Army has the most airborne soldiers, primarily because of the 82nd Airborne Division, which is an infantry division specializing in parachute assault operations. This division is based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and is the primary fighting arm of the XVIII Airborne Corps.

The U.S. Army's airborne forces also include the 173rd Airborne Brigade, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, and several Special Forces units which require airborne qualification as part of their training.

In addition to the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force also has airborne roles, specifically in the 24th Special Tactics Squadron, and Pararescue Airmen.

The U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps have fewer airborne roles, but they do exist, primarily in the realm of special operations.

It's worth noting that being an airborne soldier is not just about the adrenaline rush. It demands extreme physical fitness, mental fortitude, and requires a certain baseline of skills and discipline. It's a challenging and rigorous role, but can be highly rewarding for those who are suited to it. Make sure you really research and understand what you're getting into, and consider discussing this with a recruiter who can provide in-depth information and guidance.
