Hi everyone! I'm a junior in high school, here in Ohio, and I am seriously considering to major in Computer Science. Can you guys suggest the colleges in Ohio with the best CS programs? Majority of my family have been Buckeyes, but I really want to keep my options open. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! It's fantastic to see that you're exploring your options and pursuing Computer Science. In Ohio, there are several great schools known for their CS programs:

1. The Ohio State University (OSU): It's not surprising that your family are Buckeyes, given OSU's strong reputation, particularly in Computer Science. The university is known for having a robust program that offers a wide range of courses and research opportunities.

2. Case Western Reserve University: Case Western is also top-rated for its Computer Science program. Besides a strong curriculum, they encourage students to do internships and co-ops, which can provide invaluable practical experience.

3. University of Cincinnati: Their College of Engineering and Applied Science has a strong Computer Science department. The university’s mandatory co-op program also offers students the chance to gain significant hands-on experience.

4. Miami University: Their Computer Science program provides a strong foundation and is praised for its emphasis on software development. It also offers concentrations in areas like Software Engineering, Systems, and Games and Simulation.

5. Ohio University: Their Russ College of Engineering and Technology offers a solid Computer Science program, with options to specialize in topics like Software Development and Systems and Networking.

Remember that the "best" program should also be a good fit for your individual needs and career goals. You might want to consider factors like class size, faculty interaction, availability of internships and co-ops, research opportunities, and the specific courses or concentrations offered. Good luck as you continue your college search!
