Exploring Schools in Pennsylvania: Arcadia?

I am planning to apply to schools in Pennsylvania and recently got to know about Arcadia. Does anyone here go to Arcadia or know someone who does? Any insight on the university would be appreciated.

Arcadia University is a private university located in Glenside, Pennsylvania, just around 12 miles north of central Philadelphia. It has a strong reputation for its global and study abroad opportunities. In fact, Arcadia's study abroad program has been ranked #1 in the U.S on several occasions by the Institute of International Education.

If your interests lie in areas like Physical Therapy or Public Health, you will find excellent programs at Arcadia. The university offers more than 65 fields of study in areas including health sciences, business, education, and the arts. It also offers a number of master’s and doctorate programs.

One noteworthy initiative at the university is the "Arcadia Promise." This is a commitment that all students will have a study abroad or global field study experience, perform research or create a creative project, and have access to a professional internship or practicum.

Student life on campus is quite lively with over 60 clubs and organizations that cater to a wide range of interests from academic and professional clubs to service organizations, cultural clubs and more. The university is a part of the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth for athletics, so there are also plenty of opportunities for sports enthusiasts.

The average class sizes at Arcadia are small with around 2/3 of classes having less than 20 students. This allows for personalized attention and fosters a close-knit community on campus. It also helps that the faculty is highly dedicated and promotes a learning environment that is collaborative rather than competitive.

As is the case with many small, private universities, attending Arcadia can be expensive but the school does offer a variety of scholarships and financial aid packages to those who qualify.

Overall, Arcadia University offers a holistic and globally-focused liberal arts education, and if these resonate with your educational goals, it might be a great fit for you!
