Majors available at Davenport University?

I've been exploring different college options and recently stumbled upon Davenport University. Curious to know what kind of majors they offer? And how well-regarded those programs are? Particularly interested in anything related to computer science or engineering!

Davenport University, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offers a range of degree programs including an emphasis in the fields of Business, Health Professions, Technology, Urban Education, and Arts & Sciences.

As you indicated interest in Computer Science and Engineering, Davenport University has a strong Technology department, specifically the College of Technology. If you lean towards Computer Science, they offer a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science that focuses on programming, database management, data structures and more.

Also within the College of Technology, Davenport University provides a Bachelor of Science in Network Management and Security, Cyber Defense, and Digital Forensics. These programs are part of Davenport’s Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE/IAE) designation by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security.

While Davenport University does not offer traditional engineering programs, they do provide a Bachelor of Science in Technology Project Management which could be aligned if you are considering a management role within the engineering sector.

The programs at Davenport University are recognized for their practical, career-oriented approach, which can be a significant advantage when it comes to job placement or progression in your field. The university itself maintains industry relationships that can be beneficial for internships and employment opportunities.

Keep in mind, however, that the "prestige" of a program doesn't replace the value of an environment where you feel academically comfortable and personally engaged. So, take some time to delve deeper beyond just the program, such as looking into the potential courses you'll be taking, class sizes, collaboration opportunities, and specifics about the technology labs available for hands-on experience. This could help provide a clearer picture of what your education journey would look like at Davenport.
