Understanding military branch distinctions

Hey, I've been trying to get my head around the different aspects of our military branches. Something I've been curious about, which is the 'toughest' branch to get into? I mean in terms of admission requirements and selection process. Thanks for the help!

The 'toughest' branch to get into in terms of admission requirements and selection process can be somewhat subjective and largely dependent on the specific job or role you're interested in within the respective branch. That being said, the general consensus often points to the U.S. Navy SEALs and the Army's Green Berets, both of which fall under U.S. Special Operations Command, being among the toughest in terms of physical fitness standards and training intensity.

The Navy SEALs involves rigorous physical and mental testing, including a highly challenging Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training course. The program is highly selective, with a roughly 80% dropout rate.

The Army Green Berets, also known as the U.S. Army Special Forces, have a similarly demanding selection process that involves a challenging Qualification Course (Q Course) which is as much an intellectual test as a physical one.

If we're talking about branches as a whole, however, it's also important to consider that each branch has its own unique selection processes and challenges.
