Seeking Guidance on What Abilene Christian University (ACU) in Texas Generally Looks for in ACT Scores

Is there anyone familiar with ACU's admission criteria, particularly with regard to ACT scores? I'm considering this university and curious about what ACT score they typically look for in their applicants!

While specific ACT score requirements can vary from year to year depending on the applicant pool, a good rule of thumb for Abilene Christian University (ACU) is to aim for an ACT composite score around 21-28. This falls within the middle 50% range of accepted students, meaning that about half of the incoming class scored within this range. Keep in mind, the higher you score within or above this range, the better your chances.

Apart from your ACT score, the university also considers your high school GPA, your high school curriculum rigor, and your personal essay. If you have strong extracurricular activities, those can also bolster your application. So while ACT scores are important, they're not the only factor ACU considers during the admissions process.

Given the importance of the ACT score in your application, it might be beneficial to commit to some form of focused test preparation before your exam day - that could be self-study with a prep book, an online course, or one-on-one tutoring.

Remember, there are also options to retake the ACT if you're not satisfied with your initial score. Many students tend to improve their scores upon multiple attempts. Good luck on your university journey!
