TAMU Meal Plans: What are my options?

I've read some stuff online about meal plans at Texas A&M University (TAMU), but I'm still confused. Could any TAMU students give me a rundown of the meal plan options there? Cheers!

Sure, I'd be happy to provide a breakdown! At Texas A&M University, there are several meal plan options available primarily for on-campus students, but off-campus students can also purchase a meal plan if they wish.

1. "Unlimited" plans: These give you unlimited entries into the campus dining halls, Sbisa and The Commons, for each week. With these plans, you're also given "Dining Dollars" for use at any dining location on campus.

2. "Block" meal plans: These offer a specific number of entries to the dining halls (for example, 125 or 65 per semester) and also include Dining Dollars.

3. Dining Dollars only: This is essentially a prepaid account that you can use at any dining location on campus.

For both Unlimited and Block plans, these meals reset every week, and unused meals don't roll over. The Dining Dollars, however, roll over from fall to spring semester but not from spring to fall.

The exact number of meals per week or Dining Dollars included depends on the specific plan chosen. Additionally, keep in mind these meal plans cover the academic year, not including winter and spring breaks.

Lastly, how many meals you'll need per week will depend on factors like how often you plan to cook or eat off-campus and your eating habits. It's important to select a plan that fits your convenience, lifestyle, and budget.

Note: All figures are as of the 2024-2025 academic year and are subject to change. Always double-check the current options with TAMU Dining Services.
