How does the Morrill Scholarship process work?

I'm starting to look into scholarships I can apply for and I came across the Morrill Scholarship. It seems like a great opportunity, but I'm not sure where to start. Can anyone break down the application process for this scholarship?

The Morrill Scholarship is indeed a fantastic opportunity offered by the Ohio State University. It's designed to reward academically exceptional students who are advocates of diversity and inclusion and showcase these qualities in their everyday lives and communities.

In terms of application, here's an outline of the process:

1. Apply to Ohio State University: You are strongly encouraged to first apply to Ohio State by November 1st.

2. Essay: The scholarship application is embedded into the university application. After you submit the university application, you will be given the prompt for the scholarship essay and an opportunity to respond to it. Make sure to answer within the word limit and share concrete examples of how you advocate for diversity and show leadership skills in your community. Do not forget to proofread your essay!

3. Extracurricular Review: The scholarship committee will review your Common App extracurriculars as part of the scholarship review process.

Remember, just like with the rest of your college applications, the key to success in this scholarship application is to be authentic and provide concrete examples from your personal experiences. Reference genuine instances when you demonstrated leadership, advocacy, and support for diversity and inclusion.

Good luck with the process!
