What is 'Branch One' of the Military?

Hey guys! So, I've been thinking about my options for after high school, and the idea of joining the military has been floating around in my head lately. I came across the term 'Branch One' of the military, and I'm just not sure what that means. Can anyone explain?

"Branch One" isn't an official term used in military jargon. Instead, the U.S. Military is comprised of six different branches: The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and most recently, the Space Force. Each branch has its own unique mission, duty stations, job roles, and traditions.

To summarize their duties:

- Army: Land-based operations and forces.

- Navy: Sea-based operations and related air power.

- Air Force: Air and space defense operations.

- Marine Corps: Expeditionary warfare via land, sea, and air.

- Coast Guard: Coastal defense, search and rescue, and maritime law enforcement.

- Space Force: Protecting U.S. and allied interests in space, monitoring ballistic missile launches, tracking space debris, and maintaining satellites for communication.

You might consider researching each branch to better understand their differences and to see which branch aligns most closely with your skills and interests. Good luck with your decision-making process!
