Any Opinions on Colby's Dining Halls?

So, is anyone here from Colby College? I've heard a lot about various aspects of life at Colby, but what about the food? Seriously though, how are the dining halls? Good variety, and quality... these things matter too, right?

I completely agree that food is a crucial part of the college experience! Colby College actually does fairly well in this department compared to other schools. The college has two dining halls, Dana Hall and Foss Hall, and both are known to offer a pretty diverse selection of food.

Dana Dining Hall is the larger of the three and typically has a wider variety. It has several stations including salad, deli, entree, and vegan. It has made-to-order sandwiches, pizza, and a grill. They also have special theme nights occasionally, like street-food-themed meals, which most students seem to really enjoy.

Foss Dining Hall, also known fondly as "Foss," is a bit smaller but is still a good place to go for a quick bite. It is known for serving vegetarian and international fare. One major perk of Foss is it stays open late, so it's a great destination for those late-night study sessions when you need some fuel.

Lastly, Roberts Dining Hall is located on the ground floor of the residence hall and is one of the three dining halls on campus. It is the closest residence hall to the new Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center.

Quality-wise, students typically report that they're happy with the food. Of course, as is the case with any school, the occasional meal may not be to everyone's liking. But on the whole, Colby's dining services seem to make a good effort to provide an assortment of dishes, including options for students with dietary restrictions. Just keep in mind that, like any college dining hall, the food may take some getting used to, especially if you're coming from a home-cooked meal setting.

Remember, don't be afraid to give feedback to the dining services if you find something you especially like or dislike. They're there to make your dining experience as enjoyable as possible!
