Does Georgetown track demonstrated interest?

Ok, so I've been researching colleges and I see that Georgetown is one of my dream schools. My question is, does Georgetown track demonstrated interest? I've attended info sessions and communicated with admissions, just want to be sure if it's worth the effort to show more interest?

Georgetown University is, indeed, amongst the set of universities that pay attention to demonstrated interest. As you've attended informational sessions and already engaged with admissions, you're on the right track. Maintaining communication with admission representatives provides them with a sense of engagement and eagerness towards the college, which paints you in a positive light. However, it's crucial to keep in mind that while demonstrated interest is a factor considered at Georgetown, it is not one of the major determining elements in their application review process. Georgetown's admissions team prioritizes academic performance, your essays, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular involvement, among other things, ahead of demonstrated interest. While showing interest does help, always remember to strike a balance. You may consider sending a well-crafted email with thoughtful questions or visiting the campus if possible. But don't overdo it to the point of being excessive; sincerity is key here. Demonstrated interest should come naturally as a result of your genuine interest in the school, not just as a strategy to gain admission. Good luck with the application process!
