How can I check my application status for Cornell?

I plan to apply to Cornell this fall. Once I submit my application to Cornell, how can I check the status? Is there a portal or something where I can see if everything's processed correctly and when I can expect to hear back from them?

After you submit your application to Cornell University, you should receive an email acknowledgment from the school within 48 hours. This acknowledgment will include information on how to set up and log into your Cornell Applicant Portal. The Application Status Page allows you to view the most current status of your application. For your Common Application or Universal College Application to be considered 'complete', your School Report and transcripts must arrive at Cornell no later than November 15 for early decision or January 2 for regular decision. Through the portal, you should see if the admissions office has received all required materials such as your completed application, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores. Always double-check to confirm all materials were submitted correctly and received. If you notice any discrepancies, contact the admissions office immediately.

As for when you can expect a decision, early decision notifications usually come out in mid-December, while regular decision notifications are typically released in early April. However, exact dates can vary each year, and any updates on decision release dates are usually posted on the Cornell admissions website or sent via email. Remember, it's always a good idea to routinely check your email, including your spam folder, and the Cornell Application Status Page for updates. Stay patient and best of luck!
