Options for military-friendly colleges in Ohio

I'm an Ohio native, currently a rising junior. I'm considering the military after graduation. I'm wondering if there are any colleges in Ohio that support this path. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can find colleges throughout Ohio that offer strong support for students intending to pursue military service after graduation. Such support might come in the form of ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) programs, unique scholarships for future service members, or a comprehensive array of services for veteran students. Ohio State University, for instance, hosts Army, Naval, and Air Force ROTC programs on campus. Participating in ROTC during college could give you the opportunity to pair academic coursework with military training, an ideal combination for a student considering a military career. OSU also has robust support systems for veterans.

Wright State University is another school with strong military ties. It's located near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which can be beneficial for students interested in military careers. Wright State offers Army and Air Force ROTC programs and has been recognized nationally for its support services for veterans.

The University of Cincinnati also offers Army and Air Force ROTC programs and provides several services to veterans. They have a Veterans Programs & Services office committed to assisting military-affiliated students.

Kent State University is another institution that hosts both Army and Air Force ROTC programs. They also have a dedicated Center for Adult and Veteran Services.

These are just a few examples, and many other colleges and universities in Ohio have similar programs and resources. You may want to reach out to the admissions offices at these schools for more information on what they offer. Just ensure that you are considering other factors like majors available, campus culture, location, financial aid, and campus size to ensure it's the right overall fit for you.
