What happens to my Common App account after submission?

Hey! So I've been thinking ahead about the Common Application. Carry forward, once I've submitted my apps, does Common App delete your account or is it preserved for future use? Like, can I log back in later to see my submitted applications or add more schools?

Once you submit your applications through the Common Application, you will continue to have access to your account. It does not get deleted. So yes, you can log back in whenever you need.

However, it's important to note a few specific points:

- You can view your submitted applications and download a PDF preview, but you won't be able to make any changes to those applications. They are essentially locked once they've been submitted, for obvious reasons.

- If a college's deadline hasn't passed, you can still add it to your Common App account and submit an application to that school.

After the current application cycle ends, you won't be able to roll over the account to the next year's application cycle. You'll need to create a new account for the new application year. Fortunately, the Common App has a rollover feature that allows you to carry over some basic information from your previous application to your new one, to save time and make the process a little easier. However, you'll need to reenter any information specific to particular colleges (like responses to supplementary questions), and you'll want to update your activities list and personal statement, if necessary.
