Online High School Biology Course?

I'm planning ahead for next year and I'm interested in taking Biology but my school's class is already full. Does anyone know of any quality online Biology courses that high school students can enroll in?

It's great that you're planning ahead for your coursework! When looking for online Biology courses, it's important to choose one that is accredited and will be recognized by your high school for credit. A good starting point would be to check with your school counselor to see if your school has partnerships with any online course providers or if they recommend specific programs.

Another option is investigating courses offered through local community colleges, as they often have online options that high school students can take and these frequently come with the added bonus of earning college credit. Providers like edX or Coursera may offer high-quality biology courses created by accredited universities. Make sure to check that the credits are transferable to your high school's credit system.

In addition, the National Consortium for Secondary STEM Schools (NCSSS) partners with schools and organizations to offer various STEM-related courses, including biology, which might be an option for you. Keep in mind that taking an accredited course will show colleges that you have taken rigorous, college-level work and are proactive in your education. Good luck in your search!
