Supplemental Essays for Rutgers: Are there any?

So, I'm considering applying to Rutgers University. On top of the common app essay, are there additional supplemental essays I need to submit for Rutgers? And, if any, what are they usually on? Thanks for any help!

Whether applying with the Common App or Rutgers Application, Rutgers requires that first-year applicants provide a short, original essay where they are asked to provide insights about their life experiences that aren't revealed through their SAT or ACT scores and grade-point average. The essay must be included in the space provided on the application and submitted on the application form. The essay may not be submitted separately. Be sure to clear any formatting before pasting your essay into the online application. The Rutgers Application essay is limited to 3,800 characters, including spaces. The Common App essay is limited to no more than 650 words. The application will not accept a response with less than 250 words. Please note there are no supplemental essays required for the Common App. A short statement is required if you decide to be considered for honors.

Topics can vary and you have leeway to decide what you want to write about. Specifically, you could discuss significant experiences, community involvement, leadership roles, or personal characteristics that illustrate your abilities and impact your academic performance. The aim is to give the admissions officers a better understanding of who you are beyond your academic profile.

Keep in mind, that the essay should be personal and reflective. It's more than just stating experiences; it's also about demonstrating insight, growth, and learning from those experiences. The admissions team will be looking for authenticity, self-awareness, and a clear narrative throughout your essay.

Good luck with your application process!
