How Can I Find My ACT ID?

I misplaced my ACT ID and have a bit of a time crunch to get it back. Which method should I follow to quickly and safely retrieve it?

If you've misplaced your ACT ID, don't panic—it's easy to retrieve it. Here's a step-by-step process:

1. Visit the ACT's website and click on "Sign In" on the top right corner of the home page.

2. Underneath the sign-in boxes, look for the words "Forgot User ID?" or "Forgot Password?".

3. Click on one of these options. You'll then be prompted to input some personal information. Usually, this includes your email address that you registered with and other personal identifiers, like your date of birth.

4. Click "next", then keep following the instructions to reset your user ID.

5. After this process is finished, you'll receive an email to the registered email address with your User ID in it.

Remember not to share your user ID with anyone for security purposes. If you're unable to retrieve it online for any reason, you also have the option to call ACT's student services at 319-337-1270. You'll likely need to verify some personal information over the phone as well, and then they will assist you in retrieving your ID. Good luck!
