All about the Military College of Vermont

I've been checking out some military colleges and the Military College of Vermont caught my eye. Does anyone have personal experience with it or know its reputation? How about their academic programs and student life? Appreciate any insight!

The Military College of Vermont is a part of Norwich University, which is actually one of the oldest private military colleges in the United States, established way back in 1819. It carries a great reputation for its rigorous academic programs, strong military discipline, and commitment to leadership development.

In terms of academic programs, Norwich has a wide range of offerings. Notably, they offer 29 bachelor's degree programs,13 master’s degree programs, and a selection of certificate and professional development programs. They have particularly well-regarded programs in fields like Engineering, Criminal Justice, Nursing, and Computer Science.As a military college, Norwich does follow a regimented lifestyle that's not typically seen in traditional universities. The ROTC program is well-integrated into student life, with many students participating in Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC programs. While the schedule is rigorous with early morning physical training, and numerous responsibilities, many students find this structure helps them to develop their discipline and leadership skills.

Moreover, Norwich's Corps of Cadets, its military program, provides students the opportunity to train as leaders in a military framework while they complete their bachelor's degree. Participation in the Corps of Cadets is mandatory for all students who join Norwich's Military College of Vermont.
