Princeton Admissions Deadlines – What's the Timeframe?

Got my heart set on Princeton, and I don't want to miss any important dates. What are the key deadlines for Princeton's admissions process, does anyone know? Thanks a million!

Princeton University operates on a two-round admissions process, which consists of Single-Choice Early Action (SCEA) and Regular Decision (RD).

The deadlines for the 2024-2025 application cycle are as follows:

- Single-Choice Early Action (SCEA): The application deadline for SCEA is typically November 1. This deadline includes all the components of the application – your Common Application or Coalition Application, supplemental essays, letters of recommendation, and any additional materials. The SCEA decision release happens in mid-December. Remember, applying SCEA to Princeton signifies that Princeton is your top choice; while you're allowed to apply to other schools during this period, you must withdraw all other applications if you're admitted SCEA at Princeton.

- Regular Decision (RD): The deadline for RD is usually January 1, with decisions being released in late March. The components required for the RD deadline are the same as SCEA, but you have a bit more time to submit them.

This gives you broad guidance, but I would heavily recommend verifying these dates on Princeton's official site or contacting the admissions office directly. Please also be aware that deadlines for financial aid applications can differ, so keep an eye out for those as well when planning your application process.
