Out of State Tuitions?

Is there a reason Wisconsin-Madison and UIUC both say ~36K for OOS tuition when https://financialaid.wisc.edu/cost-of-attendance/ and https://admissions.illinois.edu/Invest/tuition both say 56K?

Hey there! Thank you for reaching out with this question! To clarify, 56k is the total estimated cost of attendance (COA), which include tuition, housing and meal, fees, materials, etc, while ~36K is just the cost of tuition.

Please also note that many schools have not updated their 2021-2022 COA, but once those are available, we'll be able to reflect those updates on our platform.

I hope this helps!
