Should I retract and resubmit my essay? Or just keep reporting delay?
Answered

It's been almost 24 hours since I submitted an essay for peer review, and no one's reviewed it yet. So should I retract and resubmit my essay? Or just keep reporting delay?

Thanks for reaching out about this! We received several submissions during the 11/1 deadline which may have caused some delays in getting essays returned. Should this happen again, I'd suggest fast-tracking the essay before attempting to retract it as another user mentioned.

I'm happy to hear that your essay has been reviewed, please feel free to reach out again should you have any issues with this.

I would fast-track it if you haven't already, it seemed to help even after the expected time has passed. 24 hours is high, but not impossible. Wait till tomorrow, if it's still too high then just retract and resubmit.

Save retracting your essay for another time. Your essay could be reviewed; however, it could be stuck in processing (if the system is overloading).
