Legit Scholarship websites?
Answered

Hi! I'm currently a junior in high school and I've been trying to search and apply for scholarships since my freshman year. I've used sites like Scholarships.com & Raiseme.com but I need a little more guidance for any other sites or advice, thank you!

Hi, thank you for asking your question! So there are many different kinds of scholarship categories for college: 1) University awarded scholarships (either merit based or financial-need based); 2) Community scholarships (i.e. local church gives 1k / year) and 3) External scholarships (websites like scholarship owl, scholarship.com, Collegeboard big futures, and cappex)

To obtain most scholarships you will need to look in the right places for the applications. If you are looking for merit scholarships check out this blog post. If you are interested in university level scholarships here is a helpful resource. And finally, for external scholarships check out this reading.
