Do Colleges actually care about AP Capstone Diplomas?

Hey everyone, Im a junior who's currently taking AP Seminar. All I need to receive my AP Capstone diploma is to take AP Research and another AP class next year. I was wondering if anyone knows if colleges actually care about AP Capstone diplomas and if it will impact my chances at being accepted at all. Thanks!

Colleges appreciate AP Capstone Diplomas. They will add course rigor to your transcript and they demonstrate an interest in research. Since Capstone Diplomas are not super common, they will also make you stand out. Hope this helps!

AlexanderOddo, im planning on taking it in my junior year but I'm not really sure if that would be right decision. Do you think this will be helpful to take in junior high and get the diploma in senior year, for someone who wants to get into premed?

@maali I would say that it is a good idea. The extra AP classes from the diploma would increase your odds of acceptance, and as an added bonus, the classes are an easier way to build your rigor than many other AP classes. Besides that, you could improve your profile as a pre-med applicant by doing research on a medical topic for AP Research.

Hi everyone, I noticed this discussion about the AP Capstone Diploma and I have a similar question. I'm currently in my senior year and I'm struggling to complete my capstone project. I was wondering if anyone knows of any resources or services that could provide capstone project help. I really want to do well on this project and make sure it meets all the requirements, so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
