Personally, I feel like all of these are generic themes (perseverance, forgiveness, etc.) , but great topics (Mixed culture, piano, left out, etc.). I think choosing to do any other topic rather than Mixed culture would set you up to take the generic route that most people would choose to include in their essays. With mixed culture, you have the chance of bringing out a brand new perspective and delving into complex ideas, feelings and themes. If it were well thought out, then it would definitely be successful. Good Luck!

Yes I've heard that people do that a lot, but to me it seems like there's more potential for this topic to introduce a new perspective (something no one has written about Mixed culture) than any other topic in your list. But ultimately, I suggest choosing a topic that would help you write about the most unique experience that would help set your personality apart from others while also complimenting your personality. Does that make sense?
