How important are extracurricular in comparison to grades when applying to college?
Further on... does this differ between csu's and uc's? For instance, my grades so far (sophomore year - junior year) are on the more average side while my extracurriculars are above average. How can this differ with above average grades and average extracurriculars.

As far as I know, grades are usually a top priority but being in clubs shows the college that you are really social and will help
tl;dr clubs are like bonuses
