Is it better to take a community college first and then transfer into a university, or to just go into a university?

My family doesn't have a lot of money, and I'm hoping to get into a professional job to help them out. What should I do?

You can totally begin at a cc! Community colleges are easy-peasy to get into. I am currently an online DE student with my local community college. I am taking general education classes; these classes will transfer over to my bachelor's upon enrolling at the particular university.

Starting at a community college can be a great choice. Even a semester or 2 may make the difference in your acceptence/denial at a university- transfer students normally have MUCH lower requirements than first-year university students b/c you have already proved your ability to handle college! In my case, I will cut down over 1 year of gen ed credits before graduating hs which cuts down over $40,000!! Also, I am more likely to receive a larger merit scholarship. The criteria depends college to college but I happen to want to attend one of the top transfer-friendly universities in the USA (Delaware Valley University)! They guarentee scholarships for transfer students with GPAs above 3.5, I think.

Hope this helps and lmk if you have any more questions!
