AP Courses on Khan Academy

Hello! My name is Isabela, I'm a Brazilian student.

My school doesn't offer AP Courses (this doesn't exist here). I was thinking about taking AP Courses online, on the Khan Academy platform.

Does this make a difference in my application profile or not so much?

I don't think so because in order for your AP Course to be accepted by colleges, you must have completed the AP Exam, and I don't think Khan Academy has the AP Exam available.

Any AP classes that you take will most likely always help your application. Are you planning on going to university/college in the USA or Brazil? As a fellow brazilian I know that Brazilian education is always higher level than American education even if only by a little bit.

Hello! Thank you for the clarification. Well, I want to study in the USA, but I'm not sure if I can do it, because my parents want me to stay in Brazil

Studying in the USA could be very fun! It does cost more money but there is plenty of scholarships and also international study programs at many different schools! I would definitely look into that if it seems like you'd like it. I understand the over protective parents thing, too. I would definitely try to take an AP course or even an Honors because it will look good on any application. Extra classes are always worth it in the future, especially if they go towards your intended major.
