AP Language and Composition?

Hi, I'm currently a sophomore. AP Language and Composition was just made available for juniors. However, my school has always had the option of AS English 3, which is a 5.0 honors class, meaning that both the AP and the AS classes are equally weighted. I know that AP Lang/Comp will be much harder than AS English 3, but then again there is the pressure of taking APs. I am also not in AP history, so I'm wondering if I should take AP Lang/Comp to have an AP humanity. I plan on taking AP Literature and AP Gov/Econ in my senior year. I'm so lost, and I don't know what to do, so any advice would be appreciated. One more thing: my intended major is computer science or anything STEM-related.
