Ivy art major?

Hi I’m international student and I am intending to do art major in college. (Maybe econ too) I’m asking this because I think chances would be different if I chose art as major…

I am rising senior this year and I have 3.89 uw (we dont do gpa scale I’m sorry 😭) and taking full IB. And I didnt got my SAT yet…

My HLs are visual arts, economics and biology and SLs a are literature and language, math application, and french ab initio.

My major ECs are

1. Fencing varsity level (+ captain)

2. RISD Pre-college

3. NHS president

4. Head prefect

5. Art intern (in school)

I am currently thinking about applying to Yale and Brown & RISD dual degree for those ivy as a art student.

Do you think is it possible? If you guys have any recommendations for improve my chances, please do tell me!

Honestly, it'll be hard to tell until acceptance letters are sent out. Apply anyway and see what happens! If you'd like to raise your chances, I'd recommend trying to raise your GPA, taking the SAT again (so that you can superscore), and possibly taking the ACT as well. Ivies are super grade and score competitive so even with an arts major that'll be super important. If you want a better chance with your current academics, I'd recommend checking out some non-ivy liberal arts schools like Bowdoin, Bard, Bates, and Colby!
