What things are you interested in? The advice I've received is always to try to get awards and scholarships for things I am interested in. For example, I hope to get a degree in trombone performance so I've done multiple honor bands, competitions, etc. in the past couple of years to build up my resume. Really my comment is: what are you interested in? Whatever that is you should look into specific awards for that (music competitions, math competitions, essay writing competitions, etc.).
