Questions about DET (Duolingo English Test)
Answered

I just received my score back from DET with a 155 (out of 160) first try. However, I have two more credits/test attempts remaining (I bought a 2-test set and Duolingo for some reason gave me another free one, so I used one of the 3 credits). What should I do with these credits? I know that Duolingo doesn't refund my credits, so what should I do with it? Should I take the exam two more times even though I have a good score to aim for perfect or should I drain the rest of the money down the drain?

Sincerely,

SilverDragon (11th-rising 12th, from Japan, Class of 2025)

It can't hurt to take it again, unless you feel that retaking it will be a waste of your time. You're not losing money if you retake, and you may improve your English/test taking scores in the process. If you have the time to do so and feel that a perfect score is feasible, go for it. The only thing you have to lose in this situation is time.
