Any data science related passion project ideas for a rising junior?Answered
Hey, I'm passionate about DS/comp sci and would like a project with outreach and impact to add to my ECS, but I genuinely can't brainstorm anything. Pretty good with Python and working with DS libraries if that helps! Also fluent in HTML, Javascript, and CSS so Web Dev's great as well. If anyone would like to partner up let me know. :)

Try to start with a problem outside of computer science, then figure out how to tie in the methods you want. Maybe you can work on object detection to separate compost, trash, and recycling. Waste plants have been using AI in recent months, so perhaps you could make an even more specific system, one that differentiates types of plastic, to simplify the sorting process of plastics later. It's really up to you, that's just an idea that came to my mind.
